Dry Skin Love formulas are unique and are designed by scientist Dr. Natasha Ryz.

Our products are made in-house in limited batches. We do not outsource.

We only use natural aromas, including plant oils, butters, waxes, honey, herbs, flowers, roots, extracts and essential oils. No artificial or synthetic fragrances.

All of our skincare products are created by scientist Dr. Natasha Ryz, so they are all original formulas.

Dr. Ryz has a unique formulation style.

She works primarily with natural ingredients, and she also includes actives with skin benefits.

Dr. Ryz prefers natural plant ingredients that are minimally processed and unrefined so they retain their nutrients, color and aromatic compounds. Raw ingredients are more difficult to formulate with, due to strong colors, aromas and inconsistent textures, and require more time, effort and knowledge to work with, compared to refined ingredients.

However, unrefined plant ingredients are superior in their benefits for skin care, as they are packed with nutrients, including vitamins, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds.

They are also incredibly luxurious - rich, heavy and sensual.

We provide an elevated luxury skincare experience filled with sensual delights.

From our unique formulas to our premium packaging to our customer service and gifts.

We provide you with a unique and exclusive experience.

All of our formulas are designed and developed in-house by Dr. Natasha Ryz.

We source our own ingredients, design and develop our own unique formulas. This takes time, effort and expertise. We do not use pre-made cosmetic bases, or outsource any part of our production.

We use premium ingredients that are ethically sourced. Our skincare products are high-performance with real results.

Our products are made in limited batches in Canada.

Our skincare is made using plant oils and butters, waxes, honey, herbs, flowers, roots, plant extracts and essential oils.

We use wild, organic and Fair trade ingredients when possible.

We also use vitamins, antioxidants and other actives. We use active ingredients in their recommended amount. No more, no less.

We use natural ingredients that have a long history of safe and effective use.

For every product we create, we consider the environmental, health and social aspects of every single ingredient.

Natural can mean different things… for instance:

1. Plant extracts -  minimally processed

2. Plant extracts - refined

3. Isolated from natural products

4. Synthesized from natural products

We choose minimally processed plant extracts most often, as they retain the highest amount of nutrients, but also have strong aromas, colors and textures, and can be difficult to formulate with.

Examples:

Cold-pressed, unrefined Hemp seed oil (green color, strong aroma)

Cold-pressed, extra virgin Coconut oil (strong aroma, inconsistent texture)

We use refined plant extracts in some of our formulas.

Example:

FTC-grade Bergamot essential oil (furanocoumarin-free). The chemical responsible for sensitization of the skin to sunlight has been removed

We use ingredients that are isolated from natural products in some of our formulas.

Example:

Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant isolated from freshwater microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis

We use ingredients that are synthesized from natural products.

Example:

Polyglyceryl-4 oleate is a natural water-in-oil emulsifier made from sunflower seed oil and vegetable glycerin.

Essential oils are safe for most people to use, when they are used properly.

Essential oils must be properly diluted in an oil carrier before use.

Old or oxidized essential oils should be avoided, as they may cause irritation in people with dermatitis or other skin issues.

People who are sensitive or allergic to essential oils or their components (i.e. limonene or linalool) should avoid use.

People who have a disturbed or damaged skin barrier should avoid essential oils or use with caution, especially with leave-on products.

Read more about the safety of Wild Orange Essential Oil and the safety of Limonene.
